Aisai emailed me with this Fidlor news:

"Fidlor caught a female mockingbird this morning."

"I thought she was dead and I stopped a moment to watch the drama. She was not dead. He dropped her out of his mouth (he'd had her by the wing) and she sat there. He batted her around a bit, but would grab her in his mouth whenever she tried to take flight. She was too badly damaged to take off."

"What made me leave finally was not the 'nature takes it's course' scene, it was Mr. Mockingbird attacking Fids over and over in an attempt to save his mate."

"It was sad. I didn't intervene after I had assesed the damage to the mrs. : ( "
